Who?

Paintbox Music is Richard Wheatley and Paul Crossley, two musicians who grew tired of endless smoke filled venues and mile after mile in a transit van in the small hours.

Despite the adrenaline rush of playing occasionally to thousands, occasionally to just the sound crew and the so called glamour of European travel it was time to put down some roots. Okay so we sound like sad old musos...but we just got started young.

What?

Since the early eighties we have penned a considerable back catalogue of tunes, drawing our influences from George Michael to Madonna, Bob Marley to Luther Vandross, Prince to Take That, Brian Ferry to Ethel Dribblethwaite and the Maiden Aunts.

But seriously, why are we parading our wares out here?

Simply because in the age of 'pretty face' bands, 'in your face' attitude or just 'cool mothers' there is still the need for songwriters who can supply quality, potentially classic songs.
